I am a wedding, portrait and fine arts photographer based in Durbanville (Cape Town), South Africa

My love of photography was kindled at a very young age when my dad taught me to take photos with his old SLR camera. And so, with the click of a button a lifelong passion was born.

After school, I studied Fine Arts at the University of Stellenbosch, majoring in photography. While there, I spent two years as photographer’s assistant to the celebrated fine arts photographer Jean Brundrit.

I have been working as a professional photographer since 2006 and I have experience in a range of different styles of photography. My first love, however, will always be photographing people, especially spontaneous and unposed, documentary-style portraits.

My Philosophy

I think the secret to taking a great photograph is that the photographer should be as unobtrusive as possible – it’s when people forget that they are being photographed that you get the best shots. I can give direction if I have to, but I prefer to give my subjects space to be themselves. It is important to me that each of my photographs should capture my subject rather than show off my photographic style.

My packages

I offer a range of different packages for all budgets, including both studio and location shoots. I am willing to travel anywhere to photograph your special day. I specialize in weddings, portraits (maternity, newborn, toddlers, birthdays and families) as well as fine arts photography. Please contact me for a price list and a free wedding consultation.
